The co-founders of It’s Our Economy are core organizers of Stop the Machine: Create a New World which, beginning on October 6, 2011, will occupy Freedom Plaza in Washington, DC demanding an end to corporatism and militarism. The action is inspired by the courageous, nonviolent uprisings in Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain, Yemen, Greece, Spain, and elsewhere. The October2011 Movement brings together peace, economic fairness, social justice, environmental, student, and immigrant rights organizations to seek a peaceful, just, and sustainable future. The movement stands ready to engage in its own campaign of nonviolent resistance beginning in Washington, D.C., this October. We need you to be there with us. History is knocking.
