It's a 'domain' thing to be sure.
I was reading an article this morning about the coat hanger. As I read it became glaringly clear that a woman's 'domain', her 'expertise' has been put on her. Much like the domain of 'fixing' things has been put on men. I'd rather fix things.
We're suppose to talk about our 'feelings'. I can not recall how many times I've heard, in one form or another, how women are emotional. Given that label, I then surmise that if we're considered emotional then we're able to, as an off shoot of that, communicate those emotions. So, we talk about our feelings. The next logical consideration then is that we know a little something about 1.) feelings, and 2.) communicating. My logical question, well, in my mind, is pretty simple.... why then, when we talk about our feelings about our lives, are those feelings discounted so quickly?
